    Weather in York :-)
    Hi :-)
I'm an international student and I'll be moving to York in October and I was wondering what I should bring and how cold winters in York are.

    Cheers,
    Lex

What are you used to. It can get very cold in York - up to about -10 with windchill. We get quite a bit of snow every year normally. So some heavy jackets, wellingtons, thick fleeces to keep out wind etc.

It doesn't sound half as bad as I thought, I thought it could get even up to -20ish.... Thanks for the info mate!

I've lived 45 minutes from York all my life, was there today in fact.

It gets upto high 20's in the little summer we have and down to the minus readings in winter. You might need a canoe some of the time too

They're pretty normal by English standards.

Buy a nice duffle coat. That'll take the edge off the chill.
