Getting an advance on student finance?
I've been accepted for a PGCE in MFL at the Uni of Bath, but I live in Northern Ireland and will obviously therefore need to start looking for accommodation. The problem is, I only work part-time and with graduation, a friend's wedding and several birthdays coming up, it's not looking very good for me finance-wise. I've applied for student finance and will be getting a bursary to cover me for when I'm there, but the money won't start coming in until the start of October at the earliest, and the course starts on the 10th September! I'll need money in the first month to cover the housing deposit and first month's rent, as well as travel to my homeschool and univeristy and feeding myself! When I did my year abroad I was able to get an advance on my student finance - it was paid in the middle of August instead of the usual timetable, so I was wondering if anybody knows if it'd be possible to do the same again this year?
Thanks!
