    Start from scratch?
I am currently in year 10 and I know it sound really bad but for all my work i have mostly used google translate but I know next year when I do my actual Italian GCSE i can't do this, do you think it is possible to start learning italian from scratch again and also how can this be achieved?

I think you should get some books on Italian grammar and vocabulary. Then try and cover about two or three chapters a week properly. Once you've done that you can move on to advanced vocabulary to build up on what you know. Then have a go at translating articles, stories etc that you come across on the internet for GCSE preparation (and trust me you will surprised at how much you can understand). Three books that I truly recommend are Living Italian by Maria Valgimigli, Schaum's Outline of Italian Vocabulary and Collins Easy Learning Italian Grammar (if someone like me can find them simple/easy to use then I think anyone can). Good luck!
