Re: What are you most looking forward to at university? What's the nightlife like?(Original post by aspirinpharmacist)
Good choice.
Small, cute, lots of little side streets and quirky shops. Fairly quiet, at least the parts I visited. And now I get the joy of spamming TSR with loads of pictures of Norwich (I do what I want
)
Spoiler:Show

See what I mean about a love affair? It looks even nicer in reality, and when I looked round Norwich it was grey and drizzly so that gives you a good idea of how nice it is. Gets a darn sight more sun that I do. North of Scotland, bleugh.
Never been to Durham but I guess they're quite similar in that neither of them are huge cities, they're both quite little, which I love.
And here's some pics of durham it's a nice place to live
But Durham Uni don't do design so I am moving away in 2013

Re: What are you most looking forward to at university?Haha, that's true. I have no willpower and always gain weight during study leave. Can't help myself. Uni is going to destroy me, I only know how to bake cakes and make marzipan.(Original post by Dorito)
Whilst this seems great at the time, before you know it you've completed 2 years of university and have gained 2 and a half stone and have to spend your whole Summer getting back into shape because you were too lazy and couldn't say no to that greasy chicken kebab and chips.
...not that that happened to me or anything.

Re: What are you most looking forward to at university? No idea, don't start until September this year. I'll let you know though (if I can sneak under the radar as a cheeky 17 year old(Original post by emmily95)

If Durham started doing a pharmacy course this year rather than next I would've applied there. But yeah, Norwich is a really nice city.

You don't realise you're gaining weight, it creeps up on you. I'd go through a whole pack of biscuits in one sitting easily, as well as massive family bags of crisps... and I did no exercise for 2 years. I'm quite tall so didn't realise how much weight I'd gained cos' I still looked skinny but had a massive belly. It makes you feel constantly tired and I have terrible skin cos' of it.
...I'm a barrell of laughs here
Just a word of warning though.
lulz, I say all this but I'll probably be back to my kebabs in September! -
Re: What are you most looking forward to at university?Oh yeah, I can cook pasta as well. And toast, and poached eggs, and maybe rice at a push. That'll do. I'll live on that.(Original post by emmily95)

Re: What are you most looking forward to at university?Oh yes toast, I can make toast. As long as I have a huge pot of peanut butter I will survive.(Original post by aspirinpharmacist)

Re: What are you most looking forward to at university?I know exactly what you mean, its a pretty valid reason to look forward to university, especially if you go to a comprehensive.(Original post by Benniboi1)

Re: What are you most looking forward to at university?Sorry for hi-jacking this conversation but I just wanted to say that the nightlife in Norwich is actually very good for a relatively quiet/small city. I live there and there are loads of great, unique pubs and bars and a few decent big clubs too (although I can't say I go to those much). I actually go to uni in Durham (should probably say went - have just graduated!) and the nightlife in Norwich is definitely superior!(Original post by emmily95)

Also would just like to add to the love for Norwich in this thread - I may be biased but it is a truly awesome city.

Just a word of warning though.
