Re: What are you most looking forward to at university?Yes shaking off habits as you're in a new environment is a bonus(Original post by JayReg)
The chance to shake off unwanted habits in a new environment, also a place away from parents to have sex.
Hahahaha, 'freedom' is good... -
Re: What are you most looking forward to at university?
2013 entry
To finally get out of Bedfordshire and move to London!
I'm applying to Imperial, Kings, UCL, QMUL and Kingston, as I've loved London everytime I've gone their in the past 17 years
To not be smothered anymore! My parents make it impossible for me to do anything, especially after my sister ****ed up and had a kid before she was 18..
To learn more about chemistry, yayayay! My favourite A-level - gettin!
Meeting new people. Really worried about this, what if I don't get along with anyone? I'm sure it'll be fine though..
The parties! Should be great, and hopefully I'll be able to keep up my reputation for being the funniest drunk anyone knows
I've also got a friend going to Falmouth and they just party 24/7 apparently, so if it's lacking in London I'll just pop on down there!
The independence and all that comes with it - I'm ready to cook for myself, wash my own clothes and get myself up etc. I need to do for the positives of independence to be possible (I plan not to come home until the end of the first term at least, at the moment..)
Fresher's week...
The beginning of the rest of my life - I hope to be involved with research at a University.
Everything generally!

Re: What are you most looking forward to at university?Minus the scaffolding the middle picture just makes me think of diagon alley lol(Original post by emmily95)
What's the nightlife like?
And here's some pics of durham it's a nice place to live
But Durham Uni don't do design so I am moving away in 2013

I'm most looking forward to setting up my bedroom all nicely (and posting a pic on of it on the tsr thread lol sad i know), meeting my flatmates and getting stuck in to all the fun stuff like freshers fayre etc. Then when freshers week is over I'll have the excitement of my first lectures
Another thing I'm looking forward to which might sound trivial to some people is being able to walk to the shopping mall and buy things whenever I need/run out of something. At the moment I live in a crappy village with practically non existent public transport links to town. Being able to get to shops like boots, M&S, WHsmith and primark within 5 mins is just ridiculously convenient. -
Re: What are you most looking forward to at university?Imperial? I wanna go there too! I went to the open day yesterday and fell back in love with it(Original post by Astronomical)
Northumbria, a massive city?
Leeds, perhaps; but not Northumbria.
I can't wait to be in London right next to Hyde Park, Royal Albert Hall, Harrods and so on.

if you're 2013 entry, I might see you around!!

Re: What are you most looking forward to at university?Got it in one(Original post by Trailblazer)
I know exactly what you mean, its a pretty valid reason to look forward to university, especially if you go to a comprehensive.
I think I'm the only one going to uni to do a Science/Maths degree (excluding Engineering)

Re: What are you most looking forward to at university?
Everything really! Moving away from home, parties, studying music production, I love music so that will be sweet!
I really like meeting new people so I'm not even nervous at all, I just want to get there and settle in! September can't come soon enough

Re: What are you most looking forward to at university?YES! When I first moved to durham in 2004 I thought exactly the same haha!(Original post by littleone271)

Re: What are you most looking forward to at university?Hahaha yes I am actually looking forward to posting a pic on the TSR thread. I think I have wasted far too many hours on that...speaking of it it is an open tab on my internet browser at the moment haha.(Original post by littleone271)

Where are you applying for & what course? -
Re: What are you most looking forward to at university?I second this. I should send her occasional photos to scare her... haha but I don't start till 2013(Original post by Alisoncraig)
Not having my mum nagging me to tidy my room! Its messy because I like it messy. -
Re: What are you most looking forward to at university?
Definately establishing my independance and meeting new, like minded people. I'm also pretty eager to live in a new city and see all that it can offer.
However most of all i'm looking forward to my course. Embracing everything I love and travelling to America and Vietnam potentially - I cannot wait! -
Re: What are you most looking forward to at university?i've gotta wait 15 months haha(Original post by Dr. Bassman)
Mainly just new people but pretty much everything. I honestly don't think I can realistically wait another 3 months haha.

Re: What are you most looking forward to at university? My firm choice is bedfordshire to do psychology and criminal behaviour. I did a BTEC extended diploma in forensic science which is 100% coursework and all my work has been marked ages ago so I know that I've got the grades to go and everything, it's just a case of waiting for it to all go through edexcel and UCAS lol so annoying!(Original post by emmily95)

I chose bedfordshire because it was the only one that satisfied all the criteria in my mind I think. It offered the best course, best facilities, best location, great infrastructure and atmosphere etc. Kind of a shame that it wasn't more of a challenge to get into but I guess other things are more important.
Where are you thinking of applying to? -
Re: What are you most looking forward to at university?Yep.(Original post by Funtry)
Imperial? I wanna go there too! I went to the open day yesterday and fell back in love with it
if you're 2013 entry, I might see you around!!

I'm hopefully starting there after the summer provided I didn't utterly fail my exams!

Re: What are you most looking forward to at university?Me neither!!!! None of my friends seem as excited for uni as me yet, I think that by the end of July I'll probably just walk to uni because I'm fed up of waiting.(Original post by Dr. Bassman)

Re: What are you most looking forward to at university?Oooh nice! My first choice I think for 2013 entry is Uni of leeds to do graphic communication. Then my other choices are Northumbria, Leeds Met, Edinburgh & Norwich!(Original post by littleone271)
