Seminal was a word invented for The Stones Roses.

225,000 people in a field for 3 days and the 1st 2 days sold out in 14 mins.

Not sure about you, but I think that shows how much this band mean to people!!

Yes, the venue wasn't perfect, yes it was badly organised BUT...

This is indie Rock N Roll... if people want a nice, well organised festival then go and watch Katy Perry at V next time!!
I went on the Sunday night and I didn't find it badly organised at all but my mate that was there on Friday said it was a fiasco. By Sunday TFGM had the Metrolink running double car specials every few minutes direct to Victoria, I was back in town for midnight. Plus it wasn't as windy Sunday so the sound wasn't blown across the park, I heard it was pretty bad Friday night.

Such a fantastic night, one of the best nights of my life. I can see why some more snobbish characters would take offense at the flying urine, occasional fights and extremely liberal public coke sniffing but it is what it is. Nothing quite like being in a field with 75,000 people off their heads all singing along to some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard and being hugged by randomers. Never felt so much love in one place before haha!

Was still in disbelief almost when they walked on stage, such a surreal night because growing up listening to the Roses music I never honestly believed I'd get to see them live. The reunion press conference last October was such a pivotal and exciting moment and the show lived up to, and surpassed, all the hype.

Don't think I've ever been actually emotional thinking back about a gig four days after it happened. It was the right mix of people, in the right place at the right time with the right production for an amazing night. Once in a lifetime! I'm so much in love I don't know just how much I can stand.
