help with internet connection!
Ok, so I'm in Spain and using my phone to post this. My phone easily connects to the wifi, but annoyingly, my laptop doesn't
when I try to connect it, it says connected, but then the internet doesn't work on any browser. It says "local only". Why???
IPv4 connectivity: local
IPv6 connectivity: limited
Windows 7. Let me need if you need any more info. Cheers -
Re: help with internet connection!IPv6 if I know my stuff, is the new IP address system as the old one has pretty much run out addresses for use.(Original post by tsr-member)

I remember some people saying it could cause a problem with current technology.
But try to disable and reconnect and update the wireless card software of your laptop. -

Yep, IPv6 is a new system and the IPv4 is running out of addresses but you don't need to worry about that here. I wouldn't worry about the "IPv6: limited" part as that probably just means you're not on an IPv6 enabled network, and most IPv6 in Europe is education and people experimenting at the moment (Asia and China are the places using more IPv6)
It sounds like an issue with the wireless settings on the laptop or the router. Have you got the right key configured on the laptop?
