Is this dress okay for a christening?
I bought this dress awhile ago and have yet to wear it. There is a christening coming up and i've never been to one before. Is this too fancy or okay? I don't want to feel out of place!

Also I need to find some shoes to go with it below £30! I have a cream clutch so i'd quite like some cream or champagne shoes!

Slightly out of your price range but these I think would work quite well.

New Look have a ton of nude/cream shoes in under £30.

Personally i'd team it with something that covers your shoulders, you're going to be in a church and it's generally seen as tradition to cover your shoulders with thick straps or a cover-up.

I would say you should wear something more conservative. You might get cold too, it's in a church

High heels aren't too good either... You may find that the church has an uneven floor, especially if it's an older one.

I'd wear it with a black blazer, nude heels and pearl/gold jewellery

There's absolutely nothing wrong with going strapless in a church, but I do suggest something to wear in case it's cold ^_^

Yes that looks fine! But a cardi or blazer may be a good choice to cover up in a church Dorothy Perkins have loads of nude/cream heels or pumps in store!

It's okay but I would go with a cardigan over it.

Really?!? It's age old tradition that you don't bare your shoulders in church, hence why ALL royal brides have had sleeved dresses instead of a strapless.

No you always cover shoulders in church, it's just respectful.

It's like other places of worship will ask people to remove their shoes or require women to cover their heads.

Christian Churches will often be less strict about it (though when I went on a school trip to Rome one girl had to borrow a teachers long coat as her skirt was too short and the straps of her top too thin to go into St Peters).
