    Parking for students?
    Hello all,

I was wondering if anybody could tell me anywhere that's free and near to the Chemistry building that's free to park as I'm only aware of spaces where you have to pay at the moment!

    Cheers.

Unfortunately parking that close to a city centre always comes at a premium, so I'm not aware of any non pay-and-display parking spaces either.

Why do you need to drive a car to uni though? Obviously if you're disabled it's different, and in that case you need to talk to the university, who I believe provide parking spaces on campus for disabled students. However, the bus service is excellent (and bike parking is free), so I've never felt the need to own a car in Manchester.

I'm starting post grad on Monday and don't move in with my new flatmate until August. I live around half an hour away so driving in! Would take the train but it takes about an hour and a half one way

Thanks, I'll have a word with them. Doing a good job as forum assistant btw :wink2:
