Do you put your phone on silent overnight? (Poll)
Just thought it would be interesting to see how many people put their phones on silent when they sleep.
I know people leave their phones on loud because they don't mind being woken up by incoming calls/texts/bbms, if someone's going to get in touch in the middle of the night then it must be important etc. Or maybe even some people sleep through it?
I personally can't stand being woken up in the morning by early birds texting me and ruining my lie in! I can't even leave it on vibrate because it wakes me up...Last edited by dancingshoes10; 29-06-2012 at 23:27. -

mine goes on to silent but vibrate at night, so if i get a text in the morning and im in a light sleep it will wake me up, but rarely! i do however usually wake up to loads of texts, facebook chat messages and facebook comments. i couldnt deal with it being on loud and them constantly waking me up!

I don't just put it on silent, I turn the damn thing off when I'm sleeping. I have no desire to be contactable at all hours of the day, if people are desperate to get in contact with me they can wait until I turn it back on again after I've woken up and had my morning cup of tea.

My phone and I have a bizarre relationship. When it's on it's constantly on vibrate, though the vast majority of the time I just ignore it and allow it to go dead; I only realise a month or so later when someone says that they tried calling me. I really don't know how people can live their day to day lives in the company of this little buzzing device which is constantly informing you that people want to bug you.
I prefer email, though telegrams would be even better if I had the choice.

Re: Do you put your phone on silent overnight? (Poll)My phone is always on silent but vibrate. Texts only wake me up in the middle of the night if I'm in a light period of sleep. Calls will but it's easy to silence if it's not a call I need to answer (I have different colours for different contacts based on whether I need to answer them in middle of night or not!)
It still vibrates, but usually doesn't wake me up.
