How old are you btw?(Original post by Craig_D)
My phone and I have a bizarre relationship. When it's on it's constantly on vibrate, though the vast majority of the time I just ignore it and allow it to go dead; I only realise a month or so later when someone says that they tried calling me. I really don't know how people can live their day to day lives in the company of this little buzzing device which is constantly informing you that people want to bug you.
I prefer email, though telegrams would be even better if I had the choice.

I don't put silent on unless I'm in school or somewhere where it'd be bad if it went off haha :P
But at night the volume is on, so in case someone needs to urgently contact me then they can which is generally the only reason why anybody would phone me in the wee hours of the morning -
Re: Do you put your phone on silent overnight? (Poll)
I'm usually awake until the early hours of the morning anyway, so I don't bother putting it on silent. If someone had the inclination to call me during the night/early hours, it would be for 1) something really important, or 2) if it wasn't, they'd feel the full force of my sleep deprivation rage and learn not to do it again in future pretty quickly.

Re: Do you put your phone on silent overnight? (Poll)
I leave mine on loud, I have no reason to put it on silent. While at uni, I find I'm a real heavy sleeper. I can wake up to numerous missed calls/texts, and I think the only time I've been woken up by my phone (other than an alarm) was when someone called me 7/8 times, and it vibrated itself off the cupboard and onto my head.
Saying that, there were huge arguments in my flat last year involving security that I didn't wake up to.
At home however, that's a different story. My phone on silent can wake me up by lighting up. most annoying thing ever, so it makes no difference being on silent! -

I leave mine on loud, nothing bothers me whilst I'm sleeping. I have answered calls in my sleep before with no recollection of doing so (I also sleep walk and talk) I'm like my own answering machine. Plus I would never remember to turn it on to silent every night!

Re: Do you put your phone on silent overnight? (Poll)
I keep it on silent most of the time, it sort of became a habit since I needed it on silent at work/college/uni etc.
Also put it on silent at night, but wouldn't need to really as no one really calls me at night any more (I know how that sounds but I mean all of my friends work/are at uni etc. so don't really get silly calls or texts in the middle of the night that much anymore).
The reason I still put it on silent at night other than it being a habit now, is that now in the age of smartphones where you get emails and stuff on your phone, I would probably get woken up by them in the middle of the night, as I swear all those companies just LOVE to email people in the middle of the night
I prefer email, though telegrams would be even better if I had the choice.
