I have to because I get about 10 emails an hour from my colleagues on the night shift asking me questions that I don't really want to answer in the middle of the night (non urgent) so I'd never get any sleep if I didn't.

My phone very rarely leaves silent mode at all. At the minute it even has vibrate turned off too so the only way I know when I have a call is when the screen lights up.

I leave it on loud. If somebody needs to contact me at that time it must be important if not **** will hit the fan.

Silent / Vibrate. My alarm still goes off even when my phone is silent. x)

An incoming text/email will occasionally wake me but I usually sleep through it. A phone call will definitely wake me up.

Mine is always on silent anyway - I don't like to be bothered by parents when at school or with friends! Plus, I like to sleep, so I keep it on silent!

I have mine on vibrate, instead of loud all the time except when it goes on charge overnight then it's totally silent and the screen overturned (weird practice I know) until the morning when I switch back to vibrate mode.

My 3GS' silent mode switch is broken so it's always on ring. At night I use the 'do not disturb' feature in iOS 6

I've never turned off my mobile phone unless I'm in an aircraft or in a place which prohibits its usage.

At home, I always have the phone on as a missed call might mean 1 less business opportunity.

Sometimes, depends how I feel. I get noises through for emails etc. too and it's a pain to go through and turn them off every time I want to hear about texts/calls only so silencing is a lot easier. But I try to be around for people if they need me so I leave it on a lot.

Na not on my phone anyway, vibrate can be quite noisy so silent literally makes no sound at all!
