Missed deadline for tuition fee loans
I'm afraid I just realized that I've made a terribly stupid mistake. Apparently, I have missed the deadlines for applying for the tuition fee loan which was May 31. I remember asking a consultant who said you should apply as early as possible, but the deadlines are at the end of the summer, so I thought I had plenty of time. It now turns out that I might not get my financing in time for the beginning of my studies. Does anyone know what could I do about it? Has anyone had the same problem and if yes, what happened in the end?

you can still apply, the only thing is, you may not get the money on time.

Well it's a complex situation. Mostly because I wasn't sure I was even going to study in the UK this year, so I wanted to avoid owing money to the government because of some part of the contract written in small letters. Obviously it wasn't the brightest idea, but there's nothing to be done now...

Back in the day when I applied I didn't do it properly until quite a time after the deadline as i wasn't sure I was going etc. You might not get the money for the first payment day but you should in theory still get it at some point if able...so you need to contact student loan asap.

Last year when I applied, I applied through extra (literally right before the 30th June deadline) and I didn't do my finance til about this time last year and I got my payment on the same day as everyone else so you should be fine. Just make sure you do it right away!

I applied for finance a week ago and according to SFE it is in the final stage of processing, so don't worry about it - you'll be fine.

Same. There is no 'real' deadline. It's a recommended date to guide students and manage SFE's workload.
