Resetting Outlook 2007 to factory settings
    Hey guys,

I'm trying to set up my outlook 2007 but I can't get past the screen that I've got in the pic. There must be settings left over from last time I tried, but now, I can't even get to the programme's settings or anything. On startup, it will request some server exchange information, and then closes down when it can't connect.

I've tried removing and then re-instating outlook from the office setup but thats not helped. Any ideas?

Open Control Panel, set it to Classic View, open Mail. Click the E-Mail Accounts... button. Select the account you're trying to set up from the list then click the Remove button above it.

That will get rid of any account-specific settings.

If you want to get rid of settings completely, open Mail from Control Panel again, then click Show Profiles... Select the profile you want to delete (probably just called Outlook), then click Remove.

Tried the second option and I've managed to get my outlook sorted thanks. My uni email is going to expire in a while - do you know how I can copy all my emails (including attachments) to my PC from outlook so that I can still have access to important emails? Tried AutoArchive, but doesn't seem to do anything??

    Thanks.

In Outlook, go To File, then click the Account Settings button then the Account Settings option from the options.

Configure the account you want to move all of your emails to, then wait for both email accounts to fully sync.

Then you just right-click the emails you want to move, click Move To.. and then you can move them to a folder on the other account.

    That's probably the easiest way

Auto-Archive is for archiving systems like the Enterprise Vault.
