    Registering as self employed?
    So im 22 and want to register as self employed? However i finish uni next year and will be looking for a job and expanding my business. I currently anticipate to make 8,000 profit for this year?

    What will i need to become self employed? Can i become self employed as a student?

    Yes, you can become self employed.

    If you go into employment, you can still be self employed and employed.

    You need your National Insurance number in order to phone HMRC to tell them that you're self employed. You'll also need to file a tax return. If you don't register as self employed (but you're making money on a self employed basis) then you can be fined.
