Thoughts on 6th Form Induction Day!
I had my 6th Form induction day on Thursday and I really enjoyed it! Really looking forward to September! I just wondered if anyone else had been to their 6th Form induction day yet, and had any stories to tell or thoughts on their subjects

Went to mine on Tuesday. Can't smoke within a km of the college apart from in a small smoking area by the sixth form. Apsolutely brilliant if you need a fag but didn't bring any with you.

I haven't been to mine yet. It's for 4 days next week and I'm absolutely terrified because I won't know a single person and the school is considerably larger than my current one. Does anyone have any advice on how to get talking to someone?? It would be appreciated greatly Also, did anyone have a "Smart Casual" Dress code for their induction?? What exactly does that mean??? Thank You

Don't be scared, we were all really nice to the new people coming to our Sixth Form just be yourself and smile I hate 'smart casual' dress codes, it should either be one or the other as no-one knows exactly what it means!

Thanks for the advice! And yeah, "smart casual" is rather confusing. I suppose I'm just worried about turning up looking quite different to everyone else, but i'll bear in mind what you said about being myself and putting on a smile. I suppose nobody would want to go and speak to someone who has a face like death!!
    Once again, Thank You!

Mine's was good, especially the English Lit taster lesson. I had just finished reading Tolstoy's Anna Karenina and we were discussing it in the lesson. We even analysed Rihanna's We Found Love song too.

I'm doing English Lit as well. We had to analyse these lines which everyone thought was poetry, but was actually 6 names of poems in one of the books! Was pretty shocked!

Hopefully, Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Economics. Really excited about these subjects as they give me a reasonable range of options for University, and they are so interesting. What about your proposed subjects?? If you don't mind me asking
