Re: Thoughts on 6th Form Induction Day!
I haven't been to mine yet. It's for 4 days next week and I'm absolutely terrified because I won't know a single person and the school is considerably larger than my current one. Does anyone have any advice on how to get talking to someone?? It would be appreciated greatly
Also, did anyone have a "Smart Casual" Dress code for their induction?? What exactly does that mean??? Thank You

Re: Thoughts on 6th Form Induction Day!Don't be scared, we were all really nice to the new people coming to our Sixth Form(Original post by sophie123456789)

just be yourself and smile
I hate 'smart casual' dress codes, it should either be one or the other as no-one knows exactly what it means!

And yeah, "smart casual" is rather confusing. I suppose I'm just worried about turning up looking quite different to everyone else, but i'll bear in mind what you said about being myself and putting on a smile. I suppose nobody would want to go and speak to someone who has a face like death!!
Once again, Thank You!

Re: Thoughts on 6th Form Induction Day!loved the IB induction day at a local school, then went to my school's induction day and it was hardly as good in comparison :/ IB ALL THE WAYYY(Original post by MissMuffin95)
I had my 6th Form induction day on Thursday and I really enjoyed it! Really looking forward to September! I just wondered if anyone else had been to their 6th Form induction day yet, and had any stories to tell or thoughts on their subjects

Re: Thoughts on 6th Form Induction Day!I'm doing English Lit as well. We had to analyse these lines which everyone thought was poetry, but was actually 6 names of poems in one of the books! Was pretty shocked!(Original post by Starrstruck)
Mine's was good, especially the English Lit taster lesson. I had just finished reading Tolstoy's Anna Karenina and we were discussing it in the lesson. We even analysed Rihanna's We Found Love song too.

Re: Thoughts on 6th Form Induction Day!I'm hoping to do History, Politics, Geography and English Lit(Original post by sophie123456789)
Hopefully, Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Economics. Really excited about these subjects as they give me a reasonable range of options for University, and they are so interesting. What about your proposed subjects?? If you don't mind me asking
Really enjoy all of these subjects and much prefer writing essays!
