    Glasgow Accomodation / Halls help...
    Hi folks,

I'm going into a 2nd year at the City of Glasgow College (not a uni but heyho this is a Glasgow section). I study at North Hannover Street but was at the Riverside halls for 2011/12. The halls where good, but a 20ish minute walk in in the winter was less fun!!

I am seeking to find halls nearer the city centre, where is good. Victoria Halls? Buchanan view? Something that is not too far a walk but can be good on the social side meeting new people!

Ideally would be amazing to find some private flat somewhere. However my finaces for accommodation will be tailored on SAAS.

Anyway some thoughts would be appreciated

    Cheers!

Generally a private flat would be a little cheaper than halls, though I have no information one way or the other on the specific ones you've mentioned. In general private halls - such as those run by UNITE - are exorbitant, while University halls are cheaper.

I would also suggest that unless you know your SAAS will be enough that it might not be enough to cover accomodation and living expenses. Something for you to look into yourself.

Unite Blackfriars Halls on High street aren't too far. There's also the Apartment ones next to the bus station but they look like they'd be really expensive.

I know I will ave enough for halls, if they are similar priced to the ones I were at last year. The college ones where £390 a month (gulp!)
