best student bank account?

    best student bank account?
    Has anyone looked into them for this yeaR? which is the best one..

    I think CO-OP are meant to be quite good. I wish I had gone with them, I'd kill for that £1400 overdraft atm.

    I've really got to start looking properly as I think on results day we can go to the Banks with our ucas confirmation to show we are students and set up an account. Either way I'm subscribed to this thread...

    Didn't think about the co op haha

    Bear in mind when you are looking that most banks, especially the high streets ones will advertise their overdrafts as being 'up to £2000'. This doesn't mean £2000 to start with as with Barclays my original one was £250, and it takes a lot of effort to increase it. Where as with CO-OP it is £1400 to start with and increases to £2000 in third year.

    Co-Op.

    Apart from being the most ethical bank out there, they offer an overdraft starting at £1400 in first year, rising to £2000 in third year.

    I'm with Lloyds TSB and have a £1,500 overdraft and I'm in 2nd year.

    I think choosing a bank with an in-campus branch is a good idea
