Does anybody here have more than one bank account?
Just curious if im the only one who seems to have more than one bank account
at different institutions?
If you do im curious why?
Personally i hold accounts at Loyds [savings], two at Citi [day to day spending and a foreign currency account], NBNZ [traveling] and Handelsbanken [traveling and theyre far more customer friendly than the rest -_-]

Re: Does anybody here have more than one bank account?
I have my wage paid into my HSBC, then all my direct debits and bills come out of it, i also have a mini ISA and flexi saver account with HSBC.
I have a separate Lloyds account which i pay £100 into at the start of the week, and i carry the debit card around with me, this way it stops me spending too much money, i started doing it last year after i checked my online statement and found i had somehow managed to blow £400 in one night, decided never again.
I leave my HSBC debit card at home usually, but if i want to make an expensive purchase i will take it out for that purpose, but never on a night out. The Lloyds card usually has more than 100 on it unless i have been out on the lash. -

Accounts I hold :-
HSBC Premier UK. It's a current and mortgage account. Generally use it for rent collection and some other businesses. I don't save any money here. Also have a credit card from this account.
Bank of America. Started out as my student account, before it became my everyday regular account, these days I only use it for purchases as I no longer conduct any business or investments in USA. I do save some money in here though it usually gets wiped out whenever there is a Ralph Lauren sale
UBS Private, this is where my salary from my primary job is paid into. I have several accounts with UBS as well for other purposes such as my investments and some other business related stuff. Got 2 offshore ones as well, use it to prevent Uncle Gideon and Uncle Cameron from knowing my true income levels... legally
HSBC Hong Kong, I had this account since I was 3
These days it is mostly used for savings and this is an offshore account...so Uncle Gideon doesn't get to find out what's in it

Re: Does anybody here have more than one bank account?ah ive always wanted an account with UBS but they dont do UK accounts lest you have £1,000,000+ shame really i heard their quality of service is impeccable and blows the likes of Loyds etc. out of the water(Original post by Herr)

Re: Does anybody here have more than one bank account? When you have £1,000,000 in funds or have investments totalling that amount generally most places you go to will give you their best of services.(Original post by cl_steele)

Re: Does anybody here have more than one bank account?Youd like to think wouldnt you? I seem to remember some customers at JP Morgan, Citi, BNYM and a couple of others getting rather upset after their caring bankers sold them a load of exploding derivitives and heard something about them having their faces ripped off(Original post by Herr)

, there was an interesting book on it a while back written by a former IB fellow, made for a very interesting read ... i think it was called something like the shooting party?

Re: Does anybody here have more than one bank account?
i have more than one bank account. but its hard to manage all ov them. and it also creates mess for me. sometimes i dont remember in which account i have deposited money etc.
m convinced it is better to open one account unless ur nature of job is that u have to travel a lot.

These days it is mostly used for savings and this is an offshore account...so Uncle Gideon doesn't get to find out what's in it
