Is there really any difference between having a Visa or Mastercard card?

    Just curious what [if] there are any differences between the two companies? they both process payments on behalf of the merchant/customer and both seem to be accepted near as damnit everywhere so is there really any difference between the two?

    Nah, no real (significant) difference.

    It's like different brands of coke.

    I assume you mean Visa credit card, not debit card? :p:

    The only real difference is any offers you get. As a basic example, Visa sponsor the Olympics, and you can only buy Olympics tickets using a Visa card, unless I've gone mad!
