[Yoko Ono]

Hi everyone.

I impulse bought a PS2 console on Amazon last night after having a nostalgiagasm watching videos of God of War, Devil May Cry, GTA and Dragon Quest on YouTube, and I was wondering if you'd recommend me some games that I might not have played. Even PSOne games!

I like pretty much every genre, but I wouldn't mind discovering some new RPGs and action adventure games, in particular.

Dark Chronicle is an awesome underrated RPG from that era. Truly one of my favourite PS2 era RPGs but no one I know seems to have heard of it.

Yes definitely Devil May cry Metal Gear Solid 2+3 would be good. Also, I haven't played them myself yet but Shadow of the Colossus and ICO are said so be two of the best games on the PS2, also Final Fantasy X etc.

For PS1 games, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, as well as some of the Disney games - Hercules, A Bug's Life.

I'm sure I remember playing a game called something like that. Do you play as a young boy? I think I might have played a demo of it from a magazine when I was younger.

I definitely recommend Ratchet & Clank as mentioned above. The Jak and Daxter series and Sly Raccoon games fit in nicely with this.

For RPGs Kingdom Hearts and Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 and 4 are certainly worth a look.

Okami is another I definitely have to recommend, and you can't go wrong with Metal Gear Solid.
