    Sparse eyebrows
What products would you recommend for sparse eyebrows?

I've had them ever since I was a child, so it's not really something that is caused by overplucking or tweezing. I usually have to have them tinted every couple of weeks because they are incredibly light, and this seems to be the only option that gives it an appearance.

I've recently heard about castor oil being used for sparse eyebrows, and wondered if anyone here has had any luck with it?

My eyebrows used to be pretty sparse - I just used an eyebrow pencil or eye shadow to fill them in and define them a bit (much cheaper than tinting regularly!)
[I really recommend you check out the Urban Decay shadows: 'naked' if you're fair skinned or blonde, and perhaps 'buck' if you have a darker skin tone or hair colour]

I'd rather not use a pencil; I've tried it in the past, and it looks quite silly on me. Too false and unnatural looking for my liking.

yeh i myself have patchy eyebrows so just lightly line them or with a mascara brush just sweep your eyebrows gently to make them darker.

If you don't like pencils, try filling your brows in with an eyeshadow using an angled brush. I'd recommend MAC's Omega (if you're blonde) or Charcoal Brown (for brunettes). These are good if you like the shape of your brows but you just want to make them darker and fuller.

The tail ends of my brows are sadly missing, so I prefer to use something more pigmented and long-lasting. GOSH brow pen and MAC paint pots are very good for drawing the missing parts back on

elf has an 'eyebrow treat and tame' thingy http://eyeslipsface.co.uk/product~prodID~127.htm
it claims to "help stimulate hair follicules so your once thin and sparse brows become thicker" or something. Not sure about whether it does that but it would add a bit of definition to your brows perhaps
    Also maybe this kit http://eyeslipsface.co.uk/product~prodID~121.htm
the gel would be more natural looking than the harsh lines you get with a pencil

Brows are a pain! I don't know about regrowth options (if you've had sparseness since childhood, I'm inclined to say that nothing much might help now), but Benefit's brows range is excellent. I would recommend buying the Brows-a-GoGo kit as a starter, and working out from there what shades and products that you need to disguise any problems with your brows. They have other products, but the all-in-one kits are a good launch pad.

I tried doing the OCM with castor oil and olive oil for a couple weeks and noticed thicker eyebrows/lashes as a side effect.
Unfortunately, the castor oil broke me out so I had to stop. You can get a bottle of castor oil for about £1.50, so you might as well try it out

Thank you all very much for the recommendations.

I think I'll try the most natural option to begin with, and see if the Castor Oil does make a difference. If not, I'll most likely opt for one of the above-mentioned products.

Neom - What was your routine with the castor and olive oil? How long did it take untill you saw a difference?

Cut off some un-needed hair from er whichever part of your body you want. You could probably vary the textures of your eyebrows from procuring from various sources. Then a dab of superglue anddddd VOILA

using a very light brown eyeshadow and LIGHTLY fill them in with a cotton bud looks nice I think, especially if you don't like using liner/an eyebrow pencil.

I use Benefit Brow Zings. It's a wax that you use to define the shape and a powder to then fill in sparse areas.

As weird as this is gonna sound, I've had a lot of compliments on my eyebrows since I started using it and nobody has really been able to tell that I fill them in, especially blokes....

    Re: Sparse eyebrows
I totally love Benefit Brow Zings! major life saver haha bc i thread my own eyebrows and messed up badly leaving a bald patch on my arch. I fill em in now and i get the shape i want without ppl noticing they're filled.

Also, I'm using castor oil to make mine grow out faster so i can have them properly reshaped. I just use a clean mascara type brush and brush it on and then the bit that has no hair i just massage the oil in. I do this twice a day if i'm not going out anywhere or just dwn the rd kinda thing. but if ur going out and need to fill your brows then u might wanna do it just at night.

Also i put castor oil on my lashes too! not sure if it's making em grow but they look thicker and that's what i needed bc a lot fell out from using too much mascara, etc
