- The world is not in your book and maps. It's out there!
GEG's Summer Transformation (hopefully!) Blog.I'm finally going to actually get fit and lose weight.
In these 12 weeks I want to get fit so I can exercise lots on my year abroad, I want to lose weight so that I feel more self confident, I particularly want to lose back fat and belly fat. Ideally by mid August when I'm off to Spain I'll feel confident enough to wear the bikini I'm pictured in (it's a motivational bikini I bought to try and make me want to get thin...)
I aim to do all this by going to the gym twice a week minimum, trying to do some form of exercise daily (whether cardio/weights/core it doesn't matter), also I'm going to try and take up either pilates or yoga as I really need to improve my posture as it makes me look larger than I am. I'm also leading on a Summer Camp which has a lot of activities so while I will be away for two weeks and eating lots of food the likelihood is I'll be swimming every day if not two or three times a day, running around constantly and generally doing fun activities.
I go on my year abroad at the start of September so I'll probably take some pictures then to use as a back up if I can't find some way of taking pictures when I'm out there (due to no full length mirror or whatever!)
This blog will probs be me ranting and complaining about how much I hate exercise but hopefully also will be used for happy "yay I see improvement posts". I can't do weight at start/finish because my mum has always banned me from scales as it's bad for self esteem. However when I was at doctors a few weeks back I was about 11 stone so hopefully I'll manage to weigh myself out in Canada. I'd ideally like that down to 9 stone but can't see that happening in 12 weeks. Long term goal though

Ha ha one can hope! I've booked myself into the gym 9am tomorrow (the gym i have back home you have to book time rather than just turning up) so we'll see!(Original post by Becca)
Good luck, GEG. Hopefully throughout the 12 weeks you will grow to love exercise, rather than ranting about hating it

Also, you can make MASSIVE changes by altering your diet. Anyway, good luck enjoy transformation

Re: GEG's Summer Transformation (hopefully!) Blog.I did some exercise!
Not much but I youtubed some yoga routines and found one which has had positive feedback and it's just under 8 minutes so not too time consuming!
So did that! Gym at 9am tomorrow...killer! -

Re: GEG's Summer Transformation (hopefully!) Blog.I went to the gym. And did an hour of CV, weights and core stuff...
That's the most exercise I've done in AGESSSS! Tis insane but actually feel better for it!
Booked in again for Friday. -

Re: GEG's Summer Transformation (hopefully!) Blog.I also remember the point when I felt like I was going to throw up
but I just took a few minutes break then carried on going
if there's one thing I'm good at it's stubbornly persevering.

I'm too lazy!
hopefully will all go well! See if I've got sticking power!
