With hindsight, would you have chosen a different degree?
I'm halfway through a modern languages (sole language option) degree at Oxford, and would say I am about 70-80% happy with my choice. I know now though that I would have much preferred Cambridge's Linguistics tripos. I'm not bitter or regretful because I could not have known at the time how my interests would develop, and if I hadn't come to Ox I wouldn't have encountered anything of what I'm interested in. However, I'd be interested to hear if any (or many) people come to realise that they're not on the right degree...

Re: With hindsight, would you have chosen a different degree?
Funnily enough, I think I would have been happier doing something with a practical application, like education or speech and language therapy, which I don't think I could ever have predicted whilst still at school because I always did traditional academic subjects. I just think I would like to feel like I was working towards something more than just a degree which, whilst interesting, is never going to be all that much use to anyone- I do Classics. And if I had stuck with something classics-y, I might have done better with a more flexible degree, like at UCL. But having said all that, I do really enjoy uni, so I'm not really complaining!

Re: With hindsight, would you have chosen a different degree?
There are other degree subjects that interest me (namely English, Philosophy, and Economics), but I'm very glad I'm studying History. The course is excellent, the supervisors I've had have been unspeakably brilliant, and I've come to love the subject even more since coming up. Architecture appeals to me too, but I don't have the graphical ability to have even considered that.
) but I often wished that I could do a module in another subject, like I would have been able to at my insurance uni (KCL)
