I immediately thought about of the African and Asian people on the Manchester United facebook page (and probably all other premier league team pages for that matter) who just say in really bad English things like "hw dare man u lose game. i never support them again!"

etc. etc. It just makes me rage every time I see the glory seekers
    Thats really stereotypical.

Non-fan: "I hope my wife is making chop-suey when I get home. Chop suey is my favourite dish. Oh we're Chinese by the way, and everyone knows China is just amazing at football because we have so many great players to choose from."

Casual: "Where the ****'s yer scarf? Ye need a scarf tae support yer team or yer no a real fan." (albeit being 27 degrees outside)

This was overheard rather than said directly to me...

"How much does it cost to sit there?"

casual supporter : why do people think it was a goal, it didnt hit the back of the net! (referring to lampards "goal" against germany)

non supporter : nothing ever happens in the first half of a match...

I've had a non-fan try to join in with the banter (but really just ended up sounding silly) and ask "What does a girl know about football?". Erm, this girl knows a lot more than a non-fan like you does

"Surely if it touches the post/line, it's a goal?".
