Canceling my gap year and entering uni this yearHey guys,
I currently hold a conditional offer from the University of Nottingham for Economics L100. My offer is for sep 2013 entry. Currently, I am serving my mandatory national service in the Singapore Police Force. I finish my service at the end of the year. However, after speaking to my commanding officer, we came to an agreement that if I have an offer from a university he would allow me to disrupt my service and end in September 2012 (the remaining 3 months would be served upon graduation). Essentially, this will save me a year which will be extremely beneficial for me. I would like to know if it's possible for me to enter this year (sep 2012) instead of next year (sep 2013). -

Re: Canceling my gap year and entering uni this yearIt's possible; you need to phone the university and ask them if they'll let you start this year rather than next. They have discretion to say no, but many don't.(Original post by jay1992)
