"Body Fat? What Body Fat?" RhiiSparks' Fat Loss Blog!
Ever since Christmas I've been on a much healthier path than I've ever been before - I started going to the gym and eating much more balanced nutritious diet and I felt amazing for it!

However I've hit a bit of a plateau since coming back from holiday and whilst I've still being doing a lot of weight training, my diet has slipped and I'm not doing anywhere near enough cardio.
So when I saw that TSR was going to be holding a transformation contest I thought it would be the perfect motivation to get me back on track to achieving my perfect physique!

My goals for my transformation is to lose body fat! I have a pretty decent muscle-base from lifting and also from cheer so now it's just adding in more cardio and perfecting my diet so I can achieve a lower body fat perecentage and my muscles can actually show through!

I'll post some photos up as soon as I've cropped them to hide my messy room haha

Back from my first day at the gym within the 12-week transformation contest!
Did a back workout which consisted of:

    - Barbell Bent Over Row 8x3 17.5kg
    - Cable Seated Row 8x3 18kg (supersetted w/ above)
    - Wide-Grip Lat Pulldown 10x3 25kg
    - One-Arm Dumbbell Row 10x3 12kg
    - Hammer Strength Pulldown 10x3 23kg
    - Back Hyperextensions 8x3

I doubt any of my weights are impressive, but I'm happy with my progress so far and things can only get better right?

Dietwise, this is what I ate today:

    Breakfast
    Porridge with Skimmed Milk

    Post-Workout
Protein Shake (MyProtein ELLE True Diet Protein, if anyone's interested )

    Lunch
    Turkey & Babybel Light Omelette

Not sure what I'm going to have for dinner yet, but I like to keep it light in the evenings so it'll probably be a tuna and avocado with spinach Either way, I've stayed well below my carb and fats macros, and have eaten a fair bit of protein so far so I'm happy.

Calories so far stand at 656 for the day so all's good!

Just so you know, I just did a quick comparison on MyProtein and that "female" protein is £33 for 1.8kg when you could just get one that isn't aimed at females for much cheaper - £26.76 for 2.5kg!! They are ripping you off, don't fall for the marketing. You don't need a special "girl" protein powder. The girly one has more stuff added to it, but it's all things you will get enough of from your diet anyway.

Sorry for the rant, I just object to being told by companies that because I am a woman I need some special thing and get charged more for the privilege! It's the same with shaving foam, always buy the men's one because you get more in a can AND it's cheaper!

Yeah I did notice that, however I thought the Elle one has a lot fewer carbs than their standard protein which is the main reason I got it Looking at it though, it really hasn't!
I'll stick to the normal one when I re-buy I think

Yeah the carb count is slightly different, but unless you're being SUPER strict on it, I don't know how much of a difference it will make for the money! There are probably other options from different sites that are better and still cheaper than "girly protein". Damn companies trying to rip us women off :shakecane: :p:

They do it to guys too. Any kind of make up or skin care product is always marketed as being "for men" when it is precisely the same as the ladies products.

It is just to try and make you more comfortable buying the product. So a dumb guy can buy concealer or whatever and still say "I am manly because this thing is for men because the box says so".
