The Amazing Spider-man

Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

At first I wasn't because I thought, new spiderman, really? But having seen the trailers, it actually looks pretty cool, imma going to have to check this one out, looks really decent. 2012 looking to be an excellent year for film - The Avengers, Spiderman, Dark Knight Rises (how will it end?), The Watch, Django Unchained (Tarantino), Skyfall (Bond is back), the list goes on

For everyone who is planning to watch it - stay behind when the credits come up at the end!

I saw the trailer at the IMAX, which seemed to contain almost the entire film - hence there's no real point in my seeing it now.

Emma Stone's Gwen was much more likeable than Kirsten Dunst's Mary-Jane.

This, definitely. Much more of a personality. I haven't watched the Tobey Maguire Spiderman's in a couple of years, but I remember MJ as being whiny and boring. Gwen is sparky and funny and clever and there's so much chemistry between her and Andrew.

Just back from seeing it, I really enjoyed it

Though, we did just watch Spider-Man 3 the other night, so I guess anything seems pretty good in comparison to that

I'm really glad I'm not the only one that really enjoyed it ! it seems to be getting a lot of hate on other forums. Are any of you who enjoyed it fans of the comics ? as I seem to be part of the minority that enjoy the comics and film ! :P
