The Amazing Spider-man
Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

Also watched the movie and is a definite improver on the last spiderman movie. Also the ending is very promising because it shows a mystery villain in the cell with Dr Connors. I wonder what villains are going to be in the amazing spider man 2?

Re: The Amazing Spider-man
Saw the movie a few days ago. I enjoyed it and thought that Andrew Garfield nailed the character of Peter Parker. The cinematography was good and James Horner did a shelling job as always with the score.
My only gripe with the film is that I think it's a bit redundant. We only had the last instalment 5 years ago and I thought Tobey Macguire was really starting to hit his stride - was it really necessary for a reboot, and one so soon? I have a feeling the studio's will carry on trying to milk this franchise till the end of days... -
Re: The Amazing Spider-man
I saw it yesterday and I'm already planning to watch it again. I'm so excited on what they will do for the sequel because they said that they want to explore the stuffs that weren't really emphasised yet, like Gwen Stacy. Not to mention Andrew Garfield is the perfect Peter Parker.

Re: The Amazing Spider-man
Watched it today, it was really good. The chemistry between Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone is really visible and what is up with his hair? It looks so awesome, throughout the whole film!
In my opinion, its better than any of the original three films, he just seems more suited to Peter Parker than Tobey Maguire, and Gwen is so much more likeable than Mary Jane.
One thing I will say is that Reptile didn't look that great, he looked a bit too human for me -
I've seen it! It was awesome, even better than I thought it would be. Garfield is more suited to Spider-man, he's more cocky in character, which some people wont like, but in the comics Peter Parker is a bit cocky really. The relationship with Gwen was interesting and the story between Parker and Dr Curt Connors was great, the build up was better in this film and the story itself was more interesting. Looking forward to the second one already (:

Re: The Amazing Spider-man
I watched it and it was pretty good. When they said reboot, I didn't think they would cover the same amount of ground as the original though. They did approach it in different ways but I thought it would be a more 'Batman Begins' level reboot. That said, Garfield is a much better Spider-Man than Maguire and I thought the relationship with Gwen Stacey was done well. It's definitely preferable to Spider-Man (2002) and Spider-Man 3 (2007), maybe not quite as good as Spider-Man 2. The villain felt weak too.

Re: The Amazing Spider-manThey will probably bring back Green Goblin to kill Gwen Stacey and then introduce Mary Jane.(Original post by A7d8i6l)

there were many scenes I felt that would have been excellently complimented in 3D for more awesomeness!
