    Anyone looking to houseshare
Any Games Makers looking to houseshare during the Olympics at Stratford? I'm looking for a place to crash for 18 days near the Olympic Park.

Wow, 25days to go and you start looking for a house share! Our group has been helping gamesmakers for over six months, and it is not easy. Many are camping? (can supply a number of sites, but some others, are now full). Another thought is look further afield than close to the park, with free travel within the zones, you may have more luck at the end of one of the Tube Lines. Not sure of your budget, but we set ourselves a top limit of £30 a night. If you want more info shout.

yeah I'm having a look at the camping sites (campingatthegames.com). I have never camped before so no idea about what its like. Do they provide a restaurant/cafe to buy food? Will there be a queue for the toilets? Do the tents have heaters?

All campsites will have ample toilet and shower facilities, as well as access to drinking water. After that it may vary depending on what specific facilities each Sports Club has or chooses to provide.

For example, some may open cafes for breakfasts, drinks and snacks; some will have bars with big screens to be able to watch Olympic Events you don’t have tickets for; some may sell some basic groceries; some will do BBQs in the evenings.

Once the camping pitches go on sale it will be very clear what facilities are available as each campsite will have their own profile with everything you need to know. You can then easily make a decision about which is right for you.
Taken this from the campingatthegames site, looks to answer your questions mostly. I would assume there will sometimes be a toilet queue, mainly restricted to morning/before bed, though I doubt it'll be a constant queue.

It sounds like you assume tents are provided? This isn't the case, you take your own tent and equipment, and I would guess heaters aren't recommended due to a tent being a piece of material!

I think you need to look more into camping before you go, but like divingbrit, I think you may have left this too late!

Certainly some do, would suggest you check first as again space limited to make sure you can book a space.

Have you found any accommodation yet? I need to stay too but was holding off booking anything until my friend confirmed her plans. But now the campsites near the Olympic Park are fully booked or lying to me. So looking at gumtree ads now but there's hardly anything!

Not sure why they would lie as they want your money, but they have been taking bookings since January so are properly full, here is a list of other sites that may help
