Is it worth me going to uni?
I had always been skeptical about going to university, but over the last few months I have warmed to the idea.
My only problem is that, if I were to go, I would be taking the criminology with psychology degree. I know many people say that a humanities degree is a waste of time, but I really enjoy the subject. I've always been interested in crime documentaries, the crime modules in my a levels, and my opinion is not based on dramas such as CSI and Criminal minds.
If I enjoy a subject, as per most people, I am willing to work very hard to achieve the right grade, and also, if I enjoy the subject I do tend to find it understandable.
The only questioning I have is, is it worth getting all of the debt for a course that, in the end, will probably lead me to a job that I could have got in at the age of 18 without a degree.
Looking at that, I'd say no it's not worth it. But at university I would gain the skills, experience (work placement optional) which would be useful to me in the future. I also believe that I would make more friends at uni than I would out in the job world in the age of 18 (if there is any). I would also gain independence and confidence. I have job experience in pharmacy, so I would be able to work along the side of the degree, and I also plan to volunteer so this would also develop my CV at the same time.
I'd appreciate your opinions on this, thanks :-)

If you think it's hard getting a job even with a degree, imagine how tough it would be without one. At the moment, in the current state of the job market, it would be best to go to university. In my opinion.
Plus it's also a really good experience, like you said, to gain some proper freedom and independence for the first time.
