When driving, If another driver (a woman), gives you right of way, lets you into traffic or anything similar do you thumbs up them or hand wave? If its a guy I normally thumbs up them, I do to a woman as well, got me thinking, is a thumbs up more of a mans thing, should I be hand wave to woman drivers? for example an old lady, estimate her age at 80 gave me right of way and I gave her the thumbs up, I felt I shouldn't have done that?

I got a thumbs up from a male van driver after he had given me the right of way and I flashed him to say thanks.
