Minimum Amount For London Uni
Ok so I'm planning to go to a London uni in September, accepted my conditional offer and currently sorting out my accommodation.
But recently I got the letter through from Student Finance detailing what I would receive, which is £3465 straight to the uni and £4988 to me. Now I originally read that the minimum you would get for studying away from home in London would be £7000. I'm not sure what's gone wrong here but my parents are currently going through a divorce which my mother has let student finance know.
Anyone in a similar situation? -
Re: Minimum Amount For London UniI wish ha, its £8,6500 or something similar to that.
They sent me the contract bit too though? I guess the best thing to do would be to ring them up.(Original post by catestevenson)
£4988 is the amount before any financial details are taken into consideration. If you've submitted your financial details it could be that Student Finance just hasn't processed it yet. -
Re: Minimum Amount For London UniAs long as you've sent off the financial info you should be fine, they say it can take up to 6/8 weeks to update the figure that you see when you log in. I got my declaration before the amounts had been sorted out too, it's not agreeing to that amount it's just agreeing the terms of student finance. You need to sign that and send it off as soon as possible because the amounts can be changed at a later date.(Original post by Adds102)

If you're still concerned the best thing is probably to ring them up
