Exam Timetable For Edexcel GCE Maths & Further Maths?
    Hey,

New to TSR - was wondering as i can't seem to find anything online, how would the exams be set out for Edexcel GCE students who are studying both maths and further maths? Like which units would we be taking in January 2013 e.g. C1, C2... and how would that span out for the rest of the two years. I wish to know as i'm planning on studying in advance, as the subject seems quite daunting considering i would be taking most of my exams early than the rest

You can arrange it however you like. Some schools complete the whole maths A level in the first year and then the further maths A level in the second year, some do them both concurrently. Best to ask your school.

http://www.education.gov.uk/comptimetable/ This tells you when every exam is.

Your school will decide which particular units you sit in January and June. My school does C1 and D1 in January, and C2, S1, FP1 and M1 in June.

    We do C1 C2 M1 in January, C3 C4 S1 in June. Second year FP1 M2 S2 in January, FP2 FP3 M3 (or D1) in June. So very different from post 3.

It all depends what college/sixth form your going to - i'm going KE Five Ways and i remember my math teacher saying that we would take C1, C2 & S1 in January but i applied for mechanics not statistics so thats why i was confused.

because C1 & C2 are both scheduled for January 11th Friday am, does that mean that you can't take them both in Jan?

No it doesn't. In many centres you would be allowed to take both, one after the other but usually without a break or a short supervise one. If you are a private candidate discuss this with your exams centre early.
