Ok I've already pretty much decided on which uni's I will be applying for the 2013 entry. However I really love the look of UEA to do psychology (and many other reasons such as the location etc)..now heres the problem, last year they wanted ABB and a C in maths GCSE. Now it seems they want AAB and a B in maths GCSE.. I only have C in maths GCSE and I think the two A's maybe abit unrealistic.

I sent an email to the admissions and they replied with 'Please note that the entry requirements for 2013 entry are the minimum that we require.' But when I have checked the student room for last year, people seem to have got in without getting these entry requirments, just abit below.

I really struggle with maths. I was predicted a U/E at GCSE..and by miracle got a C with insane work put in to it. Would resitting maths GCSE be too much? Would they accept a C in GCSE maths if the personal statement is good? Would my current A level subjects help to get in? (I do Biology, psychology, english lit and lan and planning on picking up EPQ next year).

And to give you abit more of an idea of the grades I will get...
In the jan modules I did awful: psychology unit 1: C, Biology unit 1: D (two marks off a C though).
I resat unit 1 biology in the summer, and thought I did pretty great at it. All the past papers I had been doing for it were high A's. Unit 2 biology didn't go so well as I was thrown by the tissue fluid question..the rest was alright though. Psychology unit 2 went alright. English exam not too bad and I got an A on my coursework ^-^.
I'm planning on resitting psychology unit 1 and my biology ISA- if it turns out awful.

I know I'm possibly thinking WAY too far ahead..but it would be nice to get some advice from people who have applied to UEA this year and some tips on personal statements etc.
