What if Women Were in Charge??
I hear this a lot, if Women were in charge then everything would be better...but is it true??
Well things would improve bu wouldn't dissapear altogether
Men aren't perfect....neither are Women.
Wars would not be around as much but wouldn't completly dissapear. e.g I've seen a girl at school be attacked and thrown down stairs at school by another girl...just for having nice hair!
Women are nicer then Men....that much is true but do they have to go on about it all the time...honestly does it matter? I'm bein silly lol not all women brag about being better then men.
What's your opinion?? -
Re: What if Women Were in Charge??
Gendercide. Their evil conspiracy is revealed in the SCUM Manifesto. "It argues that men have ruined the world and that women should overthrow society and eliminate the male sex."

Re: What if Women Were in Charge??
Once a month, we'd have free chocolate ice cream give-aways and a week's worth of chick flicks/rom coms/soaps on TV/Cinemas.
What's not to love?!?!?!?
It's not her fault her father was the reason why England was messed up when she started reigning. Yes, she killed a lot of people, but her relatives did much worse when they were in charge.(Original post by Mrx123)
Queen Mary the 1st anyone??
She was unpopular because she went against what the nobles wanted her to do. She married who she wanted to marry.
I wrote a six page essay on how unfair Mary Tudor has been treated.
If she'd had a longer reign, she'd have had the time to help her people, which is essentially what she wanted. -

Someone get OP a nobel prize for services to analysis within social anthropology -
Re: What if Women Were in Charge??Erm? Isn't that a bit unsubstantiated and kind of sexist? Well, no, it is sexist. D:(Original post by Mrx123)

By all means protect a gender from sexism but don't go the other way and attack those who you feel are attacking you, cause that's just as bad.
Women do have more white matter, just biologically, and less grey matter. I'm no biologist so you'd need to do some research but that might change stuff.
But your question implies that we live in this masogenistic society where women are oppressed? :O Perhaps some people are sexist but fighting fire with fire only makes the blaze bigger. -
Re: What if Women Were in Charge??
Whether it's men or women in power is irrelevant, there would always be malicious, tyrannical people waiting to take over, and those people are the same whether they're male or female. There are both men and women who are good at leading, men have just had more of an opportunity to prove it because they always have physical strength to fall back on. No doubt men would be taught that they are no good for intellectual roles and would instead be used purely as muscle power and as husbands, while the woman managed all the affairs. It would be different but I think if only one gender is ever in charge, there will always be sexism and ultimately it doesn't lead to a good society. We need to realise that men and women have different strengths, and that there is more than one kind of valuable ability.

Re: What if Women Were in Charge??I thought it was a good film personally, power corrupts Men and Women....FACT(Original post by david_s0)
Have you ever read "Animal Farm" by George Orwell? It's a brilliant book about revolution and how corruption contaminates the powerful and I think it fits your question. -

Re: What if Women Were in Charge??Seriously. Do some reading on her life and you'll find that the majority of anti-Mary sources were written a while AFTER she died. We all know how stories can be warped by people if they're about someone they hate.(Original post by Mrx123)

Anyway, I don't want to go into one big whole debate on this, but most historians that I know will agree that she has had a pretty damn rough deal.
Also, her sister publicly executed her first cousin (once removed) due to paranoia.
Royals have killed their relatives for stupid reasons throughout the centuries in many monarchies. But for some reason, Queen Mary I gets all the crap. -
