Work experience for Chemical Engineering?
I'm looking to apply to Cambridge so I need to do some work experience. The only place I know of is Unilever but they're based in Sharnbrook 30 minutes away. I live in Bedfordshire. Anyone know anywhere else I can go? And what else I should do? (I'm already doing background reading and preparing a personal statement and references)
Thanks, Mus. 😊

Re: Work experience for Chemical Engineering? No you don't.(Original post by Mus1995)
so I need to do some work experience
Chemical engineering is an academic subject, not a vocational one. Work experience really isn't important at all. If you can get something relevant then great, if not then it really doesn't matter very much. Showing your interest in the subject through things like wider reading is much more important. -
Oh okay that's great to hear thank you so much! Yeah I'm reading An Introduction To Chemical Engineering: Tools For Tomorrow.
Thanks for your help.
I really want to maximise my chances of getting picked by showing my dedication to the subject I thought work experience would help that?

Re: Work experience for Chemical Engineering? It could be a nice bonus if you can get something relevant but for a subject like that it's certainly not essential(Original post by Mus1995)
