Graduate Jobs - Advice needed!
I am an Archaeology and Ancient History student at Newcastle University, going into my third year, almost on a 2:1 so far. Basically I'm trying to figure out my options for what I can do after I finish third year, and I've disregarded a Masters as I can't afford it.
So I'm looking at graduate schemes, well trying to at least. I'm open to do almost anything initially, but I would like to know where people think is the best place to look for a graduate job? I'm not expecting to find much, if anything directly related to my degree, so I'm keeping my options open for anything.
When is the best time to apply? And how much of an affect will my degree classification have on the graduate jobs I can get? -
Re: Graduate Jobs - Advice needed!
You should start looking now to get ahead of the game. The sites mentioned above are good, also grab some of the generic guides (times top 100 graduate employers / guardian top 300) and use them as a guide to see some of the available career paths.
2.1 is pretty critical. There are jobs which will take a 2.2, but you're narrowing your options unnecessarily if you don't get the 2.1.
