Re: EVS Team Member BASKETBALL ARENA !
Event Services
10,000 Games Makers
As an unofficial ‘face of the Games’, Event Services is responsible for welcoming visitors into safe, secure venues.
Some have said this is the best role, It is what people think volunteers do !
I am also at the Basketball Arena (you there on the 14th?) -
Re: EVS Team Member BASKETBALL ARENA !
You should have been sent an email address along with your shift notification so you can let the people at your venue know directly if you have transport issues. If not, give the main number a call and ask them if they know who you can contact in regards to altering shifts.
Some of my shifts are 10 hours though, it's normal and we'll get used to it quickly! -
Re: EVS Team Member BASKETBALL ARENA !
got a email today saying
I have already accepted role and been given shifts etc. I am now confused.comWe emailed you in May to tell you that we were entering the final stages of our Games Maker recruitment programme. We are now getting back in touch as promised, to update you on the situation.
We’re continuing to work through the final stages of our main recruitment programme, allocating applicants to roles in over 70 different teams within London 2012 as they become available.
At the moment we unfortunately do not have a vacant role that we are able to offer you.
However this does not mean your application has been unsuccessful. The process of filling roles is continuing, and we will carry on making offers from now until the Games as needed. In particular, we still have a number of Paralympic roles that we will be offering over the coming weeks.
