Tuition fee loan for 5 years??
Hello, im not sure how to start this but will appreciate any answers from people who have been in a similar situation.

I studied at Bolton Uni in 2009 and recieved funding for 2 and a half years which is classed as the 3 years, I left in October 2010 because I had a baby and had every intention of going back in feb 2011 but then was diagnosed with post natal depression and was given medicine.

I now want to return to study and I have been told I can start in sept 2012 in the 2nd year but I'll need 2 years funding. The SFE has said if I write to them and provide proof I had a baby and Post natal depression then they may grant me an extra years funding.

My question is has anyone else ever had to write for extra funding and has it been granted? I'm really worried I've blown my change of a degree now.

    Thanks in advance. X

    Hi
I'm in a similar situation to you, I started in 2005 but only got tuition fee loan in 2006 for second year but like you had a baby. I didn't go back because I couldn't afford childcare, now he is at school I want to go back. Too much time has gone by to continue where I left off so I have to start again. I applied online and they asked for proof of extenuating circumstances so I sent delivery records which has date and time of birth etc
    Good luck xx
