    C3 - Modulus Function
    Sketch the graph of y = 2 - |x+1| and state the range of the function. (Graph)

    My answer is y\leq2 but the book says y<2.

    Am I incorrect or is the book wrong? It could be simply disproved with

    2 = 2 - |-1+1|, 2 = 2 (Maximum Point)

    Just being extra cautious even though I'm almost certain I'm correct.

    You are correct, and you can easily disprove the solution given as you have shown.
