How to appear offline to someone on skype?
there's someone on skype i don't want to talk to but i know they will talk to me as soon as i go online... but there's a few people i want to talk to right now and i want to go online, i don't want to stay invisible... is there some way i can appear offline to one person and online to everyone else? i don't want to block them.

Why don't you want to block them? What you're describing is basically the definition of blocking someone...

You could block them temporarily then unblock them when you feel like talking to them. Sounds harsh but it's pretty much the same as appearing offline. I don't think you can appear offline to one person on skype but then again I am a skype noob

No they are still there, but just with the blocked symbol. You can unblock at any time as well.

It's exactly the same as appearing offline; it's not like they have a message pop up and tell them that you have blocked them or anything.

Just appear invisible in general. You can still send calls, etc.

Or you could just remove unwanted people from your contacts.

Why keep them on your list if you never want to speak to them?

You can block them instead of going offline. Apart this the best way to set your mood as"do not disturb". During this you will not receive any message from other people.
