Re: How much money would I have if....How may LSE students spend £23,000 per year after fees?(Original post by Clip)
You would have -£95,000 after paying your fees, accomodation and living costs. -
Re: How much money would I have if....I have no idea.(Original post by PJ991)
How may LSE students spend £23,000 per year after fees?
There's no comma after the -£95,000. -
Re: How much money would I have if....Perhaps an international student?(Original post by PJ991)
how and why and who would have a £95k debt after 3 years of study?

Re: How much money would I have if....If you read the post to which I was replying, it related to the quality of individuals at those universities. My point was that just because someone goes to Bristol, doesn't mean they're a failure.(Original post by M1011)
I despise it when people rate universities based on an individuals performance. For goodness sake, if you're going to do that then my 20 something ranked uni would be up there with Oxbridge thanks to the run away success that is me. OK I lied, but the point stands. -
Re: How much money would I have if....
Just my $0.02. I have friends who graduated between 2008-2010 and went into the City. The bulk of them have now left as a result of i) disliking the job ii) being made redundant iii) leaving instead of being fired iv) finding something more interesting they wanted to work on instead.
Those who do remain are in the very low single digits. The fact is, many people who get in are amongst the most impressive people I know. The achievements prior to even turning 21 were outstanding but the City isn't the best place for them, something they realized immediately. I do want to point out that anyone who ends up in the City is going to be very sharp/intelligent/pedigreed but the point is most people just do not last or decide there is something more exciting out there.
So by 25 you could easily be on £200k but you could also end up on £0k after your entire division gets shut down and you find you've been made redundant. Many good people and by good I genuinely do mean VERY good, are made redundant for many factors outside of your control. Please do bare this in mind before you start salivating over the fact you may be brokering the hottest deal in your space/making the FT front pages or making rain on the trading floor for your desk.Last edited by unknown demon; 08-07-2012 at 19:05. -
Re: How much money would I have if....That's a pretty **** salary tbh. About 35k after taxes. You couldn't buy a 911 or fly first class on that.(Original post by Jahe)
Mate, i'd say you'd be earning £50k + per year -
Re: How much money would I have if....Perhaps for trading. For 99% of graduates 50k after 3-4 years is unthinkable.(Original post by i_hate_teeth)

Didn't they buy a 911 on top gear for under 5k?

Re: How much money would I have if....I already live in London... Would like to see some other parts of the UK. Also, I would be in the minority...(Original post by gangst)
How did you come to the conclusion you wouldn't enjoy your uni experience at LSE?!?
