Also! Pork is an animal which also tends to eat it's own crap and rubbish around it so it's classed as non halal and un clean. Islam is not only the religion which follows this rule but also Judaism classing it as not kosher

Please stop lying about piggies. They do not eat their own filth. Guinea pigs do, and I don't see your religion stopping you from eating them? It also doesn't mention poisonous fish like the puffa fish either.

They do eat their own waste, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. They do it if there's undigested matter in it, so it's just recycling really.

Here's where i got it from, plus, most people that eat pork know about it anyway. get real

Pigs, like the above insects, will eat the feces of herbivores that leave a significant amount of semi-digested matter, including their own. In certain cultures it was common for poor families to collect horse feces to feed their pigs. However, allowing domestic pigs to consume feces contributes to the risk of parasite infection.

they do eat their own waste, some people have to accept it. it's nothing of a big deal. If you choose to eat it then good for you. Islam states that we're not allowed to eat it. That doesn't stop others from eating it so get on with your lives people!:cool:

So, I'm guilty of this too. I eat anything but pork.
Why is it that a lot muslims tend to eat non halal meat and drink but never touch pork?

    (Original post by Flash7)
Pork is easier to give up. There are many substitutes for it, except on pizza.

Getting halal meat is a hassle so most people are okay with non-halal meat. And the occasional drink is fine.

Calling yourself a muslim by name does not mean your practicing. so those who eat non halal foods/drinks are not muslims.

    Dont kid yourself.

a shop with halal written on the door is by no means halal. i know osmeon ewho owns a restaurant in hounslow and ilford. he displays halal for greater customers although he knows truly well that it is 100% non-hala meat
the supplier is a believer in non halal meat so it is definently non halal.
my point is, that even if it says hala, it probably isnt. can you taste the difference? NO
red arrow me away, but you know im right
th eonly reason you neg me is becuase you cannot face the turth, and you know that is true.

Because you don't seem to realise that the (alleged) events of Jesus' lifetime came after the (alleged) events in the Old Testament, despite, apparently, believing in a religion which recognises those events as factual.

The most recent event in the Old Testament is the rebuilding of Jerusalem by Artaxerxes in 445 BC mentioned in Nehemiah 2:1. But if that's too complicated there are clues in the names 'Old Testament' and 'New Testament'.

One's a (stupid) question, the other is an answer (quite a logical one too, I guess - for those who don't live in areas where halal food is readily available...though I'm questioning how many such places there are/whether Muslims would live there despite that etc)

    They're not the same thing.

Edit: oh, alcohol is not alright.

then why is the old testament in the bible
To tell us how God created the world, how mankind fell into sin and also the story of God's chosen people, the Jews.

But most of all the OT is important because it prophecises Jesus Christ as our redeemer.

Tell me, why do Muslims feel they are obliged abide by God's laws for Jews?:confused::confused:

    ill tell you...

god created the universe wihtout having rests..unlike your version where he rested on the 7th day? how can god rest? god can never rest? so muslims belive god never rested

secondly adam and eve sinned and were sent down to the earth...that was THIER punishment, getting sent from such a nice place (heaven) to this world...now god who is most mericful would never punish us for adam and even fault...how is that logic? im getting punished for what adam and eve did no!

muslims belive we are born sinless as babies how could we possbily sin when we are babies...can god be that unjust?

why would god have to send a redemmer to kill himself and remove our sins? no god doesnt need to go through that whole process he can just forgive he doesnt have to create another man send him down hang him then our sins will be removed :s

What do you mean by halal beef is the same as non halal beef?
well, apart from the method of slaughter, it's the same thing.

I don't and that is why I don't believe in it. There is no evidence to back it up so I don't believe in it. Your turn why do you believe what you do?
