    Business Economics & Economics
    Hi,

I was wondering what the difference is between business economics and straight economics. Does the business econ just contain elements of business studies combined with econ?

That's a very vague question. The value of an education always depends on where you got it, how much you have learned, and where you plan to use it. That being said, all else equal, I would say that the degrees are not significantly different in terms of job prospects.

It depends entirely on the university in question. Broadly speaking, however, a Business Economics programme will focus more on firms and industrial economics in comparison to a pure Economics programme which will be much broader and offer greater flexibility.

Also, a Business Economics may include more management/accounting modules and also be less mathematically technical.
