    Would I maybe be eligible?
Hi my names Josh and I am a 16 year old student at college going on to study NC sound production at james Watt College. I have several problems including MH problems and learning difficulties
I have ADHD which effects my thinking process and how I study
I have severe O.C.D which also effects my studying as my obssessions overcome my mind
I have dyspraxia which relates to my hand co-ordination problems
I have severe depression and with this teamed up with the O.C.D doesn't make life easy sometimes..
To start off recently my obssessions have gone toward the technology area.. I just can't stop thinking about it and it really effects my parents as they get stressed and upset as well as myself
I really do try my best to try and control it and I have been doing worksheets and techniques to try and control it but it is still hard
I can have a high mood swing and also along with the depression that doesn't help either
I am a very inteligent person when it comes to certain things such as explaining what technology is and also I have a passion and talent for music and practical music activities including - Working with music software
    Music and Video projects
    Playing the drums
I also forgot to mention I have physical tourrettes ( Sever tics) which occur mostly day to day. Sometimes they can be at rest but only occasionaly
My physical tics include shaking my head and nodding repetativley
This also intefers with study at home and even in college
Recently My obsessions have turned to Apple's MAC OS X operating system which I think is fantastic for everyone. As I am going to be doing sound production a lot of the stuff on the course and future sound production courses ( HNC , HND ect) involve working with MAC OS X audio editing software.
I have tried a MAC for ages and must say I have fallen in love with the OS but thats not the main point of maybe going for DSA and maybe requesting a macbook.
The following reasons would be why I would maybe request one -

    1) My obsessions with MAC OS X would die down and thus breaking the stressfull "Obsession" pattern that me and my parents live with

    2) Would be great for my course including future ones and would last me for a long long time

3)By Breaking the obsession pattern this will lift the depression I guess a little and hopefully open a gateway to success of overcoming it

Not at all am I saying Macbooks cure problems but its just the situation it cures if that makes sense
If I am really honest I have been obsessed with MAC OS X for about Three years and it would be great to have one for educational purposes as I would defo put it to its use
I would love to compose music and edit audio on the go
It would be like a dream come true to be honest haha.. even though that sounds cheesy
    It really would
My parents have not really applied for stuff like this ( DSA) and I think it would be great to get that bit of support
We can't afford a Macbook so its been really hard trying to quit the obsession pattern plus trying to not stress my parents
Some of you will probably think I am really selfish.. but honestly If I could wave a magic wand to change myself I would... I really would
Would I be eligible to get a macbook for my current and future studies as it would relieve a LOT of stress and would open the gateways to lots of oppurtunities such as future studying , Support in learning ( kind of same as the first one) and most important of all Control of Obsession Behaviour and Depression
I really appreaciate if you have read all of this and I really am a nice person to talk to
( Also just to add I have weak muscle problems with my torso so would a macbook air be possible as they ar a lot lighter I have read to carry)
Thank you very much and also I understand some people get very angry at "folk" like me applying for these things and getting stuff.. My parents haven't really applied for anything like this and I think it would be great to relieve the stress off them as well as support my educational needs and support
    Thank you

You're only eligible for DSA whilst in Higher Education (University) not whilst in further education (College).
You would certainly be eligible for equipment when you go into Higher Education without a doubt but currently you're not eligible till than.

The above is correct. If college believe you need equipment, they should supply it.
