Take a year out of University?
Hey, I've just completed my resit without attendance year at the University of Manchester and am due to go back in September. The only thing is I've just got a full time job which I really want to do and wondering if they would allow me to return the year after? I've already had a year off with resits and I want to finish my final year but don't want to give up this job. Both are unrelated so it's not like I am going to be doing something which is going to help my degree. I don't want to waste 2 years (plus resit year), but I don't want to not continue with this job. The only other option is maybe trying to do both, although I'm not sure if my job would allow so much flexibility. I am in a bit of a dilemma, but if I would be able to do this job for a year and gain some experience and then go back to University to finish my degree that would be ideal.
Any help would be great!
Thanks

Re: Take a year out of University?
It's perfectly possible that they will allow you to take a sabbatical year; it's probably best to email your academic tutor and get their take on the situation.
Bear in mind that you will have to go back sooner or later - will you want to go back in a year's time to finish your degree?
