GCSE English C - Which firms can't/can I apply to
Ive taken KPMG, Ernst and Young, Baker Tilly, BDO, Grant Thornton and possibly PwC out of the equation.

I did retake it to get a B 5 months later in a retake but I don't think this will pass. Any guidance? Im on track to get a 1st in a science degree.

    why PwC?
    This.

As far as I am aware PwC just want C in Maths and English GCSE despite being the largest (by revenue or hires, I forget).

Also, did you get C's in both Eng Lang and Lit?

So I can submit an internship application when they open?

I got B in lit and C in language. Retook language in November and got a B.

As above, you'll be fine for PWC but not for the other big 4 firms. Not sure on the others. Why no mention of Deloitte? *looks slightly offended*

PWC are the largest by revenues and by hires, marginally

Right you are, my mistake, assumed Maths and English were the same. Still, I'm outraged you mentioned 3 of the big 4 in one post without mentioning my one

So have you applied to Deloitte then? Drop me a mail if you have any queries.

Are we talking about 2013 entry? If so you've got plenty of time, they're still recruiting for some of the less popular 2012 positions. However it is worth getting yourself in before the competition, especially if you want to be based in London or want to get into a competitive area.

Yeah. Oh good. I was planning on applying anywhere really, I was thinking about the least likely place where'd they would get applications, but will probably go with a biggish city, like Cambridge, Manc or Leeds.

Lol, if you can apply to half the Big 4, I imagine you will be alright elsewhere. Especially as you have a B in lit and C in lang, smaller firms are more open to bargaining of entry criteria.

You apply to firms and study for the qualification while you work. It takes 3 years ordinarily to become qualified. Some of the big names are on this thread, or alternatively if you go on the ICAEW website they provide a search facility to find vacancies with employers who are ICAEW approved to provide your training.
