Cost to Resit an Exam Externally?
Hey, I was wondering if there were any people out there who'd resat an exam externally in the past and had any clue as to how much it would cost?

I completely failed a few exams and my grades aren't going to be enough to get into my chosen University, so I was going to resit them externally during a gap year and then reapply to the University. Is £30 per exam the sort of fee I should be expecting to pay considering I'll be an external student?

    Any help would be fantastic.

£60 per exam? I'm guessing that was for exams which required a little more effort to put together or something?

Sometimes the centre will take a percentage of it as a admin fee or something because your an external candidate

The exam board fees are anything from £12 to £40, depending on the subject and exam board. Centres add on a fee to cover their admin and invigilation costs which means the total fee they charge you for a unit can be anything from £12 to £300 ( - e.g. for Science practicals). Some centres also charge a registration fee which can be anything from £10 to £100.

Anything under £30 is a bargain, £50 is not unusual - if the exam board fee is £20 and they have to provide an invigilator just for you @ £7.50/hr for 2.5 hours then if you are disorganised and take up their time they will probably make a loss at £50.

Speaking of the topic, could anyone please tell me which are the cheapest exam centres in London to resit A2 Mathematics and Physics? Thank you very much.
