    PGCE French - Keele university
    Hey Everybody!!

I'm starting a PGCE MFL in September 2012, I'm a French native speaker and although I'm looking forward to this challenging year, I'm getting a bit nervous... Is anybody starting a PGCE at Keele as well? I'm living in Northen Ireland at the moment and won't be able to get to Stoke-on-Trent (I'm planing on living there)before the 1st of Sept. Does anybody know if it's easy enough to find a place to rent there? And did you guys start reading books, preparing anything?

Any advises would me much appreciated

    Cheers!

    Yas.

search for keele student pad on google.

They list all the reliable accommodation available for rent. I would say that they run out pretty quickly so act early.

You could do with looking now! If you want to live in Stoke and not Newcastle, look at Liberty Court, it's a private Halls where mainly Staff Uni but also Keele students live. It's a 40 min bus ride on the 25 which goes from Hanley to the Uni but they are currently upgrading the bus links, whether they are in place for Sept is anyone's guess though!

    Hey!

Thank you very much for your answers, I'm going to have a look at that.

I don't know why but I thought Stoke-on-Trent was closer to Keele than Newcastle. I just checked again and it's not the case. So it's definitely better to look at Newcastle instead! I'm not looking just yet because I don't want to choose a place without seing it. I'll organize viewings in August and hopefully will find something quickly at the start of September.

    Fingers crossed!

Ah fair enough! Yeah Newcastle is better! I'd try and find a house before A Level results day though as Keele holds a housing fair the Sunday after so most houses will go on that day!

Good luck and don't hesitate to message me if you need any further help!

Thank you so much for your answer. I actually changed my mind today, it's too risky to look for sthg last minute so I'll probably just try and sign a contract soon (I'm working full time in Belfast, it's hectic!! Lol).

Question: when is the A Level results day? Sorry about that and thanks for reading my posts but I'm trying to organize everything from a distance as well as preparing a bit for September and working, not so easy. Lol
